The PowerLever by Kaba® combines the convenience of pushbutton security
through ID and PIN code access with the technology of audit trail capabilities,
resulting in a reliable, secure solution for your access control needs.
PowerLever takes security to the next level by issuing every user a unique
ID and allowing the user to select their own PIN code combination. Users
enter their ID and PIN code in locks throughout the facility, allowing facility
managers to restrict access, and track and monitor access patterns
throughout a busy workday, using audit trail capabilities.
PowerLever Models 4550 and 455X can record up to 23,000 keypad events,
stamping each record with the accurate time and date. These audit trail
records are easily retrieved from the lock itself, using an electronic key
called a Smart Key™, or using Palm™ Interface technology. Facility managers
can also authorize who enters a facility and when, using the scheduling
access feature.
PowerLever® and Exit Device Hardware - A Perfect Marriage
With more and more facilities requiring exit devices on all exterior doors,
the PowerLever provides a great answer to combining efficient access
control with reliable exit device hardware. PowerLever locks are available to mate with the leading brands of exit device hardware, ensuring a safe, secure environment.
A Llock for the 21st Century
The PowerLever is a lock built for modern facilities and institutions.
By communicating via Palm™ Interface, facility managers are
able to quickly and easily upload or download information between
the lock and a personal computer.
With the software application, managers can also create user
tables to record information about specific users and activities.
Audit trail information can also be transferred between a lock
and a PC using a Palm Pilot.
Electronic Lock, Without the Electronics
You don’t need batteries to operate the PowerLever® lock. In fact,
you don’t need anything. The lock does the work itself.
PowerStar™ technology allows the PowerLever to operate using
self-generated power. Users simply turn the lever to generate power,
enter their ID and PIN code, and then turn the lever to open the door.
The PowerStar technology inside the lock generates enough power
to operate the lock. The flexibility and self-powered features make the
PowerLever one of the most unique locks manufactured today.
